Wasn't sure where to post this but this seemed like a good enough place, whilst I was in Canada I visited the Uniprix Stadium. The home of the Montreal Tennis Masters Series and I bought the 2007 official programme plus this thing I put around my neck (not sure what the proper word is, I think its something you put a tag on the end of it or something, anyway ...) and it was cool and I can't wait to go back when the tourney is on
At least I know how to get there too and its so easy.

Spectators expelled for betting
Three men have been ejected from the Diamond Games in Antwerp for illegally betting on tennis matches.
Officials said the trio were using wireless laptops to access gambling websites, betting on points before they had registered on the internet.
"We spoke with the WTA. They had the chance to give up their computers or to leave - they left," said an official.
The expulsions are the first cases in tennis's new anti-corruption policies to clamp down on illegal betting.
Well done WTA though.

I was sat by a bloke during the Federer/Tipsarevic match and as soon as the toss was made he left and somehow made a bet on the score in the 1st set.
He lost as it went to a tie-break but he bet for a 6-3/6-4 depending on who won the toss.

That makes sense. I don't suppose you can stop people doing that.

I wouldn't of thought so. My guess is he made a bet via phone about 30 seconds after the live toss.

Actually thinking about it, he probably made the call has he was walking out of Rod Laver so it was just a few seconds after the toss.

That's not exactly cheating really. It's just getting better odds.

Galimberti receives betting ban
Giorgio Galimberti has become the fourth Italian player to be banned for betting on tennis.
Galimberti, 31, has been banned for 100 days and fined £17,808 after betting on games over a three-year period.
He hasn't played since September and isn't even in the top 1000.

Em, good luck then although I thought it would be better if he preserved his health for the clay-court season.

Yet another Italian banned
Federico Luzzi has become the fifth Italian tennis player to be banned by the ATP for betting on matches.
The world number 139, who plays mainly on the challenger circuit, was found guilty of gambling on 836 matches.
Luzzi, 28, has been suspended for 200 days and fined US$500,000.
