i listened to the tail end... from what the commentators made it sound like (and this is probably totally biased) england could do alright despite the odd look that the squad has about it. also judging from the play by play stuff (in otherwords: beckham crosses to crouch etc) the ball spent very little time in Englands half. that in itself is a pretty good sign.

Then again, we weren't exactly playing Brazil. Hungary only put 2 past New Zealand the other day.

i take it new zealand won? but we'll get a better idea on (what day is it? the day they play jamaica. the commentators only said it once) whatever day it is that they play jamaica. jamaica is not a bad team. if we have a similar result and also manage to keep the ball on their side the whole time i dont see why we cant at least pull something almost as good against brazil. (almost is the key word there)

New Zealand won? At football?
Lol of course not, I think Hungary beat them 2-0. I just meant that a team who struggles against New Zealand (and NZ did find ways through their defence a number of times) should not really be troubling us too much.
NZ did beat Georgia though to be fair.

What was up with Peter Crouch's celebration when he scored?

Very good goal. Not sure what his celebration was. The 'Robot Dance' or something.

Received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, controlled with his left foot, turned and slotted it into the bottom left corner with his right foot. Very nice goal.
