By Singapore I predict:

1. Djokovic
2. Nadal
3. Federer

It's coming, I tell you...

Glandular fever for Fed? If this is true... i think we should lay off him for the last few losses, glandular fever takes a lot out of you..

We knew about this ages ago but he said he had recovered before Indian Wells.

I've been reserving judgment on Fed since I heard about the Glandular Fever.  The biggest surprise for me was that he had been playing at all.

He might have got over the swollen glands and so on, but recoup takes a lot longer....it would not surprise me at all if in 6 months he is as good as he ever was.

After glandular fever though you may recover from the actual illness bit but most people suffer from fatigue after...id be surprised if he was fully recovered now .

Why would he withdraw now when he didn't from the other tournaments when he was ill?

The debate on here seems to be:

Fed is ill        V         Fed is losing it.

I say Fed is losing it because he is ill. He is a confidence player. When you look how he used to play before winning Wimbledon in 2003 - far too patchy and inconsistent. These loses (due to illness perhaps) are going to sap that confidence and I just don't think that dominance will ever return. If it were only Nadal waiting to capitalise then maybe - but not with Nole around.  I would bet quite a few quid on Nole winning either WImbledon or the US this year. Arguably, if he hadn't been so knackered at by the rain rescheduling at Wimbledon last year he would have had a good crack then.

I think Fish is really having a phenomenal run at the moment, very few could have stopped him. Federer should have been one of them as the current number one though.
+ He thinks he's so unbeatable, really embarrassing when the opposite is proven.

Federer was losing his dominance WAY before this silly illness of his, it's just a excuse and maybe it has acted as a catalyst, that's all.

It depends on when he actually was supposed to have contacted it.  If he got it in Nov or something, it could explain everything...that's why I'm still keeping an open mind.

The thing that has more surprised me is that he seems to have been a lot more well and capable than I would have expected.

Maybe losing his dominance a bit, but still winning 3 slams, getting to the final of the other, winning the masters cup, winning two masters, 3 other masters finals. That is dominance, I'm sorry! Maybe not as much as in previous years, but still better then anyone else has ever done for years and years.

Fed has not lost anything. In case anyone wasn't paying attention, every report on the Fish match says Fish played out of his skin. Let's not forget, it is a semi final for fed in only his 3rd tournament of the year. Long way to go yet.

Since when could a player beat Federer just because they were playing out of their skin? Only recently, only since he has started to lose his dominance.

He may still technically be dominating right now but there is no doubt he is losing it and has been losing it for a while.
