If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Tottenham and Everton both lose on Penalties!
Hey, I appreciate your use of that smilie for that particular sentence...
Can't believe we lost on pens... Came back from what seemed like an insurmountable obstacle in a 2-0 deficit and we couldn't make it work... Oh well...

All the more reason for the Teddy bears to go through tonight! We'd be the only British club left standing in the UEFA Cup.
Fantastic result for us last night, had a sneak peek over at a Celtic messageboard and some of them are conceding the league already.
And of course, wanting to hound out Gordon Strapon because he's 'tactically inept'

They'll be turned over in Lisbon most likely. They're missing so many first team players, and they've got a huge game at the weekend to concentrate on.

Well, I honestly mean it. I really want most of the British teams to progress! And it would have been nice for Everton to be concentrating on the Uefa Cup, rather than 4th place!

HT and 0-0, Bremen have had so much of the ball, hopefully we'll start knocking the ball around a bit better in the 2nd half.

His kicking is mince, but he's on form and playing better than Gordon imo, although he does have a better back 4 infront of him.
Second string Bolton team holding Sporting Lisbon at home, impressive - but Sporting look to be going through on away goals.
Edit - they just scored, 1-0.

We were terrible! But thats what happens when you know a clean sheet will put you through! Hopefully, Getafe or St Petersburg in the Quarters!
When was the last time we went this far in Europe? 92-93 maybe?

Yeah, 92-93, we were one game away from the CL final.

I would have been happy with 5th place and winning the UEFA Cup... Now... w/e...

I went to alot of the games that year. I remember CSKA Moscow well. 0-0 at Ibrox and Marseille had beaten Club Brugge! That was heartbreaking!
