Bendtner actually tried to stop the ball, it wasnt a case of getting out of the way! Why? God only knows! And same goes for the penalty decision. Should have been given.

But was a very predictable performance by Liverpool. Thats why we have made 2 of the last 3 finals, and struggle in the league.

Dont forget your 2 cup wins were against a seriously weakened side.

Exactly. Why would he stop the ball? He wouldn't, he was trying to get his feet out of the way and just couldn't do it.

With the cup wins, it could also be argued that our side which won 6-3 in the Carling Cup was also fairly weakened given the starting lineup included Hoyte, Djourou, Traore, Song, Denilson, Craptista and Aliadiere. Your FA Cup lineup was Dudek, Finnan, Carragher, Agger, Riise, Pennant, Alonso, Gerrard, Luis Garcia, Kuyt, Crouch. I'm not entirely sure that was a "seriously weakened" lineup tbh (remembering that at the time there was no Torres, Mascherano, Babel, Benayoun etc).
Anyway, the point wasn't really about who played in the games. It was more to say that we have won knockout games at "Fortress Anfield" in recent memory and therefore next week's task doesn't necessarily need to be feared as an impossible one.

Wow, what a goal by Fenerbache!!!!

Yes!! 2-1 still isn't a good position to be in, but such a come-back in the last minutes always feels so great. cmon yeah

Advantage Liverpool but it's still very much alive.

I can't decide whether you're a pessimist or an optimist. Wink Let's hope for a very early goal from Liverpool. yay

2-1 loss isn't a terrible result away. Only a 1-0 required at home which they'll do without too much trouble.

We'll need a RB over the summer, Broadfoot is SPL standard and gives his all, but not continental standard. no

Finishes 0-0, it's going to take another monumental effort next Thursday.

Not the best game but could definitely be worse.

All you need is a draw, quite an okay result I think.

Ooh, Getafe scored in the last minute against Bayern, sweet! And PSV got a 1-1 away, excellent as well.

Decent result for Rangers. Clean sheet at home is always the priority when away goals count. Only need a 1-1 away so there's every chance to go through.

But we were soooooo blunt up front last night, goodness knows how we'll score if we play in the same uncreative slumber with even less possession. The bright side, as you guys said, is that we didnt concede.

I'm quietly confident we will pose them problems. They on the other hand were very poor, I thought!

Great result for Zenit St Petersburg, PSV and Getafe!
