What I've never understood about Formula 1 is are they racing for their country or the Team ie McLarens etc.?

I think they race for themselves and their team.

Thanks, I did wonder about the country thing as they are not all with the same Team. I have found myself watching this at the weekend for some reason, bit boring though unless there is a bump, they change the tyres really fast too.

I like the start and the finish.Almost ever they are the most interesting part of the competition.

Are women not allowed to drive in Formula 1?

They're allowed to stand next to the cars half naked looking super hot, is that not enough? No but seriously, women
are
allowed to race in F1 and have done previously. If there were the same number of women interesting in racing as men then I'm sure we'd have a few on the circuit now.
Last female F1 driver was Giovanna Amati in 1992.

Räikkönen is pole followed by Alonso. Hamilton is 5th.

That was a big accident for Kovalainen!
Easy win for Raikkonen, not a bad result for Lewis and great drive for Jenson to finish 6th.

That was a great race by Lewis at the weekend to take 2nd.
McLaren are stronger at Monaco and Montreal, the next two races, so he'll hopefully win there.
Such shame that Super Aguri had to pull out though.

Monaco GP this weekend and there's the threat of rain. It could get ugly....

Hamilton only qualified 3rd.
The Ferraris out qualified the McLarens.

Well done, Lewis! That accident at the start turned out good for him ultimately...

Missed most of it but from what I have seen and gathered, that was an interesting race.
Well done Lewis.

The damage was to one tyre only and that got changed at the pit stop. Also it was early in the race so it changed his strategy and he ended up winning.

So if he didn't have the accident he would have probably lost?

Hard to say what would have happened. I think he'd have still won, but you never know.
