An update to this thread. lol  Tiger won the USPGA (obviously).

This week on the PGA Tour has been 2nd week of play-offs for the Fed-ex Cup. This is when the top 144 players on the Fed-ex Cup points list from the start of January play in a series of 3 tournaments. A certain number of players go out each week until the top 30 players are left complete the 4th week at the THE TOUR Championship.
A more detailed/more complicated explanation here.

Bernhard Langer turned 50 and is making his debut on the US Champions Tour.

Marc Warren won the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles in Perthshire after beating Simon Wakefield on the 2nd extra hole of the play-off.

The race for the European Order of Merit is almost exciting as the race for the Tennis Master Cup.  cmon yeah yay

Els was leading the Order of Merit but opted to play an event in Asia intead of playing in Valderrama (and probably winning the  Order of Merit) but he missed the cut there.  shocking

At Valderrama Rose and Harrington who started at 2nd and 3rd on the OOM are both currently 1st and 2nd with Rose leading by 4 shots. That would make him the winner of the event and OOM.  w00t clap
