Source: Daily Mirror ANDY MURRAY has warned the superstars of world tennis that he fears no-one going into 2006. The awesome 18-year-old heads for the Australian Open early in the New Year on the back of a magnificent breakthrough year in which he rose from 400 to 65 in the world rankings. Murray also deposed Tim Henman as the nation's darling at Wimbledon with a string of spectacular giant killings before beating Henman himself in a symbolic changing of the guard later in the year. Now the Scot insists: I'm not going to go into 2006 fearing anybody. I've got a lot of good experience to take with me. I've played against some of the best in the world.
A few people have said I've had lucky draws in tournaments, but I've had a lot of good wins. In the matches he has lost he has never been outclassed. Against former Australian Open champion Thomas Johansson at Queen's he was a game from victory in the final set. - Full Story (mirror.co.uk)Related: British tyro leads charge (foxsports.news.com.au)

This is what I love about Andy, he seems so fearless, and that's why he'll do well IMO. He's just such a great role model for the game. I love the attitude and the style. I could imagine him being in my own group of friends

I agree - tennis really needed someone like Andy to push the game forward in this country, and yes that puts a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but its that attitude and that approach to matches that makes him such a great player and so exciting to watch bwt Dan, why don't you do an introduction in the intros section? x

I don't see why Andy should fear anyone. At times he was a match for Fed so he shouldn't be scared of anyone.

Yeah we get that too.... i think most teachers say that, i guess they're trying to encourage a better vocabulary used in writing or something..

well i hate my english teacher because i don't know whether you have had to write an original writing piece yet but we were told that we had to write a opening chapter about something we knew about. so naturally i decided on tennis! about a teenage girl falling in love with a boy at her tennis club. but he said i had to do it again because he isn't interested in teenage love lives and to make it worse i have been stuck with him as an english teacher for 4 years!!!! sorry guys i know that was SO BADLY
