He's getting 18 points per win in these particular kind of Futures event. Sort of relates to a QF Challenger or a 2nd round at ATP level.

I believe the second win has yet to be added, so if he can win this 3rd one, he can rise 36 points. However, he's going to lose 1 point this week, then 18 the following or the week after for a win a GB future last year. He will then defend 1 point the following week, and has nothing to defend thereafter until queens!

A win this week would give him 177 points going into that period of having nothing to defend (probably around 225 in the rankings).  In that period last year he lost in 4 1st round challenger events, im guessing clay court. He's a much improved player now, and he did win a rubber (albeit a dead one) in Argentina so perhaps he can get some more points out of this period this year - even if he plays on clay.

I think a good target might be to break the top 200 by Queens, for which he would need about 25-30 points - a couple of futures wins, just 1 challenger SF or 2 challenger QF. This would represent his first time in the top 200, and im going to predict he'll make it. He certainly seems on the up!

Looking too far ahead now, but i may as well, to see what he can achieve at queens, nottingham and wimbledon. He's protecting 15 points from all three tournaments so if he gets some nice draws and can announce himself with 5 wins: 2 x 3rd round + a 2nd round or QF + 2 x 2nd round (maybe?) then he can gain 80+ points and get into the top 150.

Without looking at the specifics from there on, I'd assume he can get into the worlds top 100 by the end of the season by doing reasonably well on the challenger tour. I think he's been showing form worthy of a ranking around the top 100, i hope he keeps it up and gets there!

I'm glad theres someone else around to do the calculations I wouldn't have a clue, thanks.

I wish Brad Gilbert was spending time with Jamie rather than Alex, Jamie seems to have more of a desire to get to the top.

He is the number 1 seed, though it would still be a fantastic run of consistency if he won three tournaments in a row.

Jamie Baker is the featured player on ITFtennis.com for February!  w00t

You jinxed him Lorna!!  shocking

His winning run finally came to an end as he lost 7-5 2-6 6-0. Frown  Although 2 weeks ago he beat the same player 6-3 6-2.

Next week he is scheduled to rest before playing somewhere else. Smile Not too sure though. Think

He's next scheduled to play at the Leon Challenger in Mexico which starts 2 weeks on Monday, in which he's the first alternate. Can't see him in any other entry lists for before that. Smile
