Dana on this board really dislike Nadal

I wonder why among all others, my name pops up. doh
Actually, I sometime like Nadal when he gives an interview, but many times I find him irritating (bouncing of the ball 5643 times) and I also don't think he's genuinely modest.

What I really like about Rafa is that he never gives up, he loves fighting and often  makes wonderful points that are not a frequent phenomena for the other players.
And I don't think he hits the ball so powerfully as you're saying - the opposite- he dislikes the rapid surfaces and the players with powerful strokes that's why he's so efficient on claycourts.
And, Dana, about his interviews - they make me like him even more.

Ah, my rubber duck quote is from Douglas Adams and dates back to the rubber duck fad.

Although my lil picture's changed ... s'pose I should change the quote.

That's what I said. I said that I sometimes like him when he gives an interview, but mostly not on court.

I think they're equally annoying, can't say I've really counted them. Wink

But same goes for Djokovic, I don't like him either very much. The bouncing of the ball is a clear sign for bad sportsmanship, just like faking injuries. The truly great win without these silly tricks.

I hate it when Djokovic starts bouncing the ball- it's more than annoying. Of course it's his strategy but is it the way to distract the player and take the victory?

Bend over and hold my balls.

It's just a very unfortunate habit and maybe he isn't that motivated to get rid of it because he knows it causes his opponent to lose focus search me

I don't think it's a strategy but rather a very unfortunate habit. Maybe he isn't that motivated to stop the habit because he knows it causes his opponent to lose focus.

It's the problem. It's not fair, but what's fair nowadays? Frown

He's brilliantly idiotic at times.

Re: Jo Wilfried Tsonga « Reply #113 on: May 24, 2008, 10:54:08 PM »

He's missing the next two Gland Slams because of surgery on his right knee.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga held a press conference at 6 pm on Saturday in a hotel in Paris to announce that he was withdrawing from the tournament. This year's Australian Open finalist will have to have an operation on his right knee and will also miss Wimbledon. The No.14 seed will be replaced by a lucky loser who will face American qualifier Scoville Jenkins in the first round.
