ANDY MURRAY was handed a £500 guitar as a present — despite losing in the first round of the Tennis Channel Open.

Now the British No 1 is deciding whether to give the Fender Stratocaster to his doubles partner James Auckland.

Fender are one of the sponsors at this week’s event in Vegas.

And Murray explained:
I got into my hotel bedroom and there was a guitar case with a bow wrapped round it.

I have picked up the guitar and it is great, although I don’t actually play. James does play and he has asked me for it.

With a grin, Murray, 18, added:
I might give it to him for free — I haven’t decided yet. Or maybe I will ask for some cash.

Great audio clip.  Towards to the end of that clip his voice changed to a more relaxed one that he normally uses in interviews.  He should use the relaxed one more often.  Whistle

He should talk quicker in interviews, that would make him sound much better in my opinion!
