LONDON (Reuters) - The marriage rate has fallen to its lowest level since records began in 1862, provisional figures from the Office for National Statistics show. http://uk.reuters.com/So, why is this the current trend?

The increasing awareness that marriage means a serious decline in sex life.
A more likely reason would be it simply being less important in today's society and therefore allowing couples to settle in with their careers and then marry. Also it's so bloody expensive, did it used to be cheaper?

We've discussed the pros and cons of marriage before fairly recently. I personally think people should get married if you're gonna start up a family.

I don't want to get married for another 10 years and the thought of children scares the sh*t out of me but if I were to have them, mid 30s does sound the likely time.

Have you met your soul mate? And when did you actually want children?

Right now I hate the idea of having a family but of course so does almost everyone at my age. It is indeed interesting that there seems to be a biological shift that suddenly puts us into procreate mode.

Were you young when you met your husband? I ask because I want to know whether you had the biological shift after being in that relationship or you wanted children the moment you found your husband because he was simply "the one"?

Ah so you wanted children before you met him and when you found him it was time to pop them out! (can't believe I just said that! )

I don't think I'm scared, but I'm still young and I don't know what I want. Even if I want a relationship.....
