If Gonzalez wins, will those of us who predicted a Gonzalez-Monaco final still get points for the correct final? Afterall, Monaco did make the final. Bit much to hope for getting the points for Gonzalez beating Monaco in the final is it?

I think Gonzalez did win, in 3 sets. I would say it depends on whether you look at the prediction for the champion as a prediction for the final, or as a standalone prediction on who'll win the tournament...

See my final prediction was Gonzalez beats Monaco in 3. The final was Gonzalez-Monaco and Gonzalez has won the tournament, so it would seem a bit unfair to not get at least the points for the correct players and winner of the final.

Maybe we should start a poll and hope for a 90% in favour of the points..... Just joking Mark. Wink lol

Whoever predicted Gonzalez v Monaco in the final will get points. No points will be awarded for the winner and number of set because the match didn't get played.

I'm just counting the scores up just now. Smile

That's something I suppose. Still don't see why we don't get points for Gonzalez being the winner, but this is better than nothing.

Should those who predicted who will be in finals still count?

Why not? The point of predicting who'll be in the finals is to predict who'd win all the matches up to and including the SF, and that has still happened even though Monaco retired now.

I'm confused, isn't there still the final to go yet? Think Also I picked Gonzalez to be in the final so do I get an extra point for that?
