Andy Murray's Australian Open campaign came to an end on Thursday as he and Serbian partner Novak Djokovic went out of the doubles in the first round..
Always knew this was going to be a tough ask but at least they gave them a run for their money and didn't get creamed.

Briton Murray and fellow rising star Djokovic, both 18 years old, were the youngest pairing in the draw.

And despite a valiant effort, Murray was not able to get back to winning ways after his first-round singles exit to Juan Ignacio Chela.

Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjic edged a tight encounter 7-6 6-3.

yeah and im sure itll have been a positive experience.as the article said, they were the youngest pairing in the draw and prob some of the least experienced doubles players as well so they didnt do too badly against an on form pair

Anybody see this quote from Andy after the dubs? It certainly gives a new perspective on the whole Aussie Open thing:

"Even though I lost in the first round of both competitions, I have probably learned more from this tournament than any other I have played," said Murray whose next competitive outing will come at the Croatian Indoor Championships in Zagreb starting on Monday, January 30.

"Basically I came here with the intention of playing a little bit differently but, after the way I have performed, I realise I should just stick to my normal game."

There was no mention of that in the press conference. Quote comes from LTA site: http://www.lta.org.uk/News/BritishNews/060119TennisAustralianOpen.htm
