This sounds a bit silly to me.  Why should he not wear what he wants when hes not playing tennis.  Fair enough, wearing another sports brand might be risky.  He needs to buy himself some casual wear clothes lol

It's a big rival, I'd be totally pissed off, regardless of the contract, if I was Fred Perry.

But we dont know the details of the contract, so its pointless speculating. But I imagine it would be something along the lines of 'On court, practising and public appearances' So whether being in the crowd at a sporting event constitutes breaking the contract or anything, I dont know. He was only in the crowd. Does he have Fred Perry pyjamas, so Kim dosent see him in anything else? lol

The whole idea of millions being paid to a tennis player, just to wear a particular brand is pathetic to start with and the morals of doing  it debatable....anyway,  It's only idiots that would believe that just because a certain player wears a certain brand, that brand is better than any other and I must buy it....obviously Murray isn't an idiot!

....mind you, if I was paid £4 million to wear Fred Perry, i would wear it ALL the time....even sitting on the toilet or in the shower! I hope he gets his ass sued!

I would think it's a definite on the Fred Perry pyjamas. He was apparently watching the doubles inside then in the last set came out.I would think it was Andy being excited like the rest of the Tennis fans at the fact Jamie&Jelena were winning a Wimbeldon trophy. He probably forgot. as soon as the camera spied Andy, they had him on TV wrong Hoodie, next thing the Hoodie's off and he has a T shirt with a Fred Perry logo the size of a bicycle wheel. Also think it must be a slow news day for the Herald, probably to soon to talk about Colin Montgomoirie at Loch Lomond.

Apparently, Andy is the only star Fred Perry have on their books, and Nike are waiting to pounce...   Think

I'm glad that someone else noticed that he took it off.  I obviously didn't notice the logo the size of a bicycle wheel though lol

Good job Posh & Becks off to America today as that'll fill all the newspapers now Whistle

Seemed that big or maybe it's my specs.I thought oh,oh,Andy's just caught on he's on camera, and maybe in trouble.I don't think he thinks. Also photo of jamie and him in the free paper The metro. The green hoodie's on but Andy has his hand over the Lecoste logo.Sort of like President Bush when the US national anthem is being played.Hand on heart. If I wasn't fooled I don't suppose Fred Perry marketing is fooled.Need to watch next time Andy's playing to see whose gear he's wearing hope that's soon.I'm having tennis watching withdrawal after 2 weeks of Wimby.

Even if it's stupid, a contract is legally binding, and Andy should adhere to that, regardless of how silly the situation seems. I think that is the real issue rather than the idea of 'betrayal'. 'Betrayal' implies intent and is emotive, but breach of contract is a more practical concern, particularly as Andy was pictured in the gear of a major rival to FP.

Jamie, on the other hand, sponsored by Adidas, conducts his biggest day of press interviews ever wearing an Abercrombie zippy and no-one even notices! Must have a different contract.

I would imagine that as A&F is not primarily a sports brand, then it wouldn't cause so much trouble.

I think this is a stupid article. We don't know what contract Andy has with FP - maybe it only covers cloths he wears when HE's playing. I mean they don't make every type of clothing, he will have to wear something different from time to time.

Plus, I think, JP got more promotion out of him NOT wearing their t-shirt than him wearing it, so why would they complain!?

I think the world has gone seriously wrong if we expect people to 'honour' brands as opposed to people and countries...

If I was an enterprising FP marketing guy I'd be considering a customised Andy Murray line - selection of hoodies, pyjamas, etc. - to supplement the more conventional range.  There wouldn't be a problem then.

That's just taking it a little too far... maybe when he's won a Grand Slam they will consider that.

What loser would wear Murray branded pygjamas? Actually, no one answer that! lol
