Andy Murray is betting on bouncing back from Great Britain's first Davis Cup whitewash in a decade by finally forcing his way into the world's top 100 next week.
The fast-rising Scot will force Great Britain captain Jeremy Bates to fork out if he reaches the milestone in the Thailand Open in Bangkok, which begins on Monday.
Murray will pocket £400 as a result of a bet struck with Bates and fellow Davis Cup team-mates David Sherwood and Alex Bogdanovic during the victory over Israel in March.
Murray said:
We were talking about who was going to make the top 100 first so we put the money in and Jeremy said he would double the bet if somebody did it by the end of the year.
I've had two matches before where if I had won them I would have been in the top hundred so hopefully this time I will be able to do it.
