Perhaps it was Tsonga's shoulder injury, perhaps it was stunning dominance from Murray, probably a mixture of the two. Either way the result was the same, Andy Murray enjoyed his easiest win since before his injury break and sailed to a semi-final encounter with Guillermo Canas, who defeated Korolev in straight sets earlier today.
Andy got off to an amazing start, failing to lose a point on serve until 4-1 when Tsonga called an injury time out. This seemed to disrupt Andy somewhat as he was broken to love in the following game. However, this minor hic-up was soon resolved as Andy broke in the final game of the set to take it 6-3.
The second set started as the first did with Andy moving quickly to a 4-1 lead. However this time Andy did not falter, taking the set 6-3 and at the same time his place in the semi-final.
