Andy Murray wrapped up a steady and convincing win over Russian youngter Evgeny Korolev in the first round of the Kremlin Cup this evening. The Scot raced through the first set, breaking serve twice and holding throughout, and it was another early break in the second set that paved the way to victory.
It took Murray just over 70 minutes to secure a 6-2 6-4 victory, after only facing one break point for the duration of the whole match, despite relatively low service percentages.
Up next in round two for the British number one is Janko Tipsarevic, a player Murray opposed and triumphed over last week in Metz on a similar surface. The match will be played tomorrow with the pair fourth up on court one.
