Andy Murray's string of defeats against Novak Djokovic continued with a disappointing 6-0 6-4 defeat in the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters.

The British number one seemed to lose his resolve after losing his serve after seven deuces in the second game, and the first set resulted in an embarrassing scoreline for the Scot, as he was outclassed by his opponent.

However, Murray somehow found himself a break up in the second set, as Djokovic's intensity dropped, but it was another disappointment as the Brit failed to capitalise, and surrendered his break almost immediately. Murray's serve looked fragile throughout, and a few loose points gave Djokovic three match points, and the world number three sealed victory in just under eighty minutes.

He needs to be more aggressive.

To start working with Alex Corretja before the clay season is a good move. You can see that Andy is trying to mix it up and change the pace.

I'm not 100% on clay, I still feel best on the hard courts, but I have high goals and intentions in the major tournaments on clay.

It was a great win for me, but I didn't expect such an easy first set.

At the start of the match we had a really, really long game - the second of the match - and I think it was the turning point in that set.

I was trying to stay focused and stay calm and be aggressive because Andy is a very talented player and can come back at any time.

I predicted Nole in two - it's clear that Djokovic is such a better player than Murray at the moment, and his foolish decision to fire Brad has now widened the gap even further between them both.

I just wonder whether Andy has a mental block when it comes to Novak now, it might be better if they weren't friends.  Still at least this isn't a two week course and Andy will be back in action next week, it'll give Alex a chance to tell him where he went wrong and get him back on track to win the next MS title.  

I made a thread a while ago saying that Andy has a problem playing anyone who is his friend.

My thoughts too! Novak is a bloody hard player to beat, fair enough he should have won a set or something! But I don't think it's Andy Murray Armagedeon.

Yeah I would never expect Murray to beat Novak regardless of coach but 6-0 is pretty dire.

when will the day come when he really beats top players and not beat federer every two years...andy and brad would never ever worked longer than two years,i´m still sad about it cause i think andy needs someone in his team who really kicks his ass and when someone will do this like brad maybe have done, andy says goodbye....
