The draw for Rome has been made with Andy Murray set to play a qualifier. Murray will need to to be fired up for it as the his opponent will already have played two matches.

If Andy gets past the first round he'll either play the Russian Marat Safin or Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka, in what would be another tough encounter.

R1 > Qualifier
R2 > Safin or Wawrinka
R3 > Nadal (expected)
QF > Blake (expected)
SF > Davydenko (expected)

Ooooh a match against Nadal would be good - or shameful Think  Hard to tell these days actually.  Still, its all about the element of surprise now Very Happy

Nothing more exciting than a Rafa/Andy match but the Spaniard's in blistering form right now, I don't think there's much to look forward to Frown

How is Blake expected to get to the quarters, with Volandri and Moya in his section??

I'm just going with the seedings. I think it's unlikely the Blake will reach the quarters.

This would be the time for Murray to unleash his FH and get it warmed up if he goes on to meet Nadal.  I dont even think he will play that passive if they meet because he said before, you cant play like that against him.

I think if he runs Nadal close, he then has to realise that is how he should play against possibly anyone

My worry is the qualifier, seriously - it's probably going to be some South American clay courter which means a tricky first round match for Andy.

Beyond that, I don't see any problems.  Whistle

Because Blake is rubbish on clay, and Volandri's and Moya's best surface is clay

blake isnt rubbish on clay at all. volandri is nowhere near as good as blake and moya is on the decline - shown clearly by the fact he lost to querrey

But blake lost to GREMELMAYR at Barcelona.... doesn't say much. Although he did make the Semi's. I think Blake might beat Moya on clay, but he won't beat Volandri.
