Andy Murray has been given a wildcard for the Nottingham Open as he looks to find some form ahead of Wimbledon.

The 19-year-old has slipped to 45 in the world rankings and has won only three of his last 12 matches.

Tournament director Patrick Hughesman said:

Andy Murray's decision to compete is fantastic news for the tournament and British tennis fans..
Looking ahead to this year's Wimbledon, Murray says he would be delighted to win just two matches.

He has already stated that he hopes to appoint a new coach in time for Wimbledon, which starts on 26 June.

Murray also said he would not play doubles at Wimbledon this year because it would put too many demands on him.

At Wimbledon, doubles is best-of-five sets unlike all the other grand slams, so if you've just played a four-and-a-half hour singles match, you don't really want to go and play doubles afterwards.
Murray was speaking on Friday as he was unveiled as an ambassador for David Lloyd Leisure junior tennis.
