It absolutely does! Have you never heard a black comedian comment on how Black people are allowed to say certain things about themselves that others can't! It's absolutely true. Females can be as chauvanistic as they like, homosexuals can say what they like about being gay. It's a bit like by being on the recieving end gives you the right to say it.

Exactly. That's what I was meaning. In a nutshell. They can say it, it's almost a defense mechanism. I know this is a minor example but it's relevant, when I'm in a conversation, and I can tell a height joke is going to be aimed at me, I prefer to say it myself, than the other person say it.

Yes, i agree it sounds better. That does not make it right though. Is it really acceptable to have racist views just because you're black? Come on.

Murray doing that thing with the children really annoys me, that sort of PR pisses me off. Those aces for charity was also 100% PR, I just wish we only saw the genuine Andy even if that meant no giving to charity.
A sportsman helping Sport Relief, heaven help us and Andy has always got involved with kids, he enjoys it.

I never said it was acceptable. I just said it happens! It's less offensive coming from the person.

I agree with the kids thing. Andy really does seem to genuinely love hanging out with the kids. Even when there was no PR actually in it. You had to dig really deep to find any press about how many kids he worked with when he came to Aberdeen but the 3 Murrays held workshops pretty much 3 days solid!

Black people being racist and then thinking it's OK because their black really pisses me off - it's absolutely unacceptable. Either we all can be racist or we all can't, ironically it's about equality!

That's the typical view I hear from people of why it's okay to be racist, "well they call each other _____ so we can also" Black people originally used this word to try and protect themselves from others using it, they wanted to take the word back and change it's history because of all the hurt it has originally caused them, they aren't actually racist to each other by using this word.

Also, if your meaning when Black people call White people? I don't know about you, but I don't find this offensive, because we've never suffered prejudice because of our skin colour, so we don't find it offensive (Okay there are some examples of Black of White Racism, in South Africa etc), but in the UK.

Yes we don't find it that offensive but at the end of the day it's wrong regardless of the reasons above.

But I only find things to be morally wrong, if they offend me, and personally I think don't find it offending.  I'm not saying it applies to you, or whoever else agrees with what your saying.

Racism isn't a definitive definition, there are so many things that are considered racists, and others that aren't. That's why we're even having this discussion.

IMO, racism is anything which implies that you're somehow less or worse because of your colour.

I know that is the general definition, I'm not stupid, but there are different types, situations, events, historical factors, all of which should be taken into account.

Being British means far more than being good at what you do Andy.

I think if he wants to do it for Scotland thats healthy.
It's the "British " media that hump more of the expectancy and pressure on him
England's football team have some of the best players around
and suffer from media pressure.
Murray can do without having a Onionhead headlines
maybe if they ignore him a little he might do better at Wimbers

Ye he didn't let it get to him too much for sure
I'm just kinda saying if he got further the hype machine might take over

There's nothing wrong with being proud to be Scottish or Welsh or whatever.

I'm proud to be Scottish and if an Englishman has a dig at the Scots I would just laugh at the banter and not give out the crap he was getting
If Scotland play England at anything do we want him to say nothing in case he gets into trouble

if so then it gets a bit silly
