With both Gasquet and Murray still in direct competition for those final two Shanghai places, this match promises to be one of the biggest of Murray's career to date.

The winner will only be denied a spot in the Masters Cup draw if Tommy Robredo makes the semi in the other half of the draw or if Russian Mikhail Youzhny wins the final. Marcos Baghdatis can also upset things by winning the tournament. However, Andy denies feeling the pressure.

I don't feel like there's as much pressure on me as on the other guys. In fact, it's getting easier because players are falling away as the tournament goes on. I've just got to keep winning.
Nonetheless, it's safe to say that this is a big one. The two have met once before just over a year ago in the semi final of the Toronto Masters. Gasquet won this encounter but with both youngsters now poised just on the edge of the top ten, this promises to be quite a match.

Playing the French in Paris doesn't often have it's advantages. In this case, however, it has gifted the 20-year-old a much appreciated later start with this match scheduled 4th on Centre court. This means a starting time of no earlier than 8pm GMT.

Are we one match away from having Neil eat his hat? And for it being posted on YouTube? Time will tell.

With Tommy Haas out of the running this match just became so much more important. We just need Baghdatis to do us a favor.
