he was aggressive in the first 2 sets going for winners and making them. he had nothing to lose. its difficult to tell with murray. when he's staying in the rallies waiting for his opponent to blink first it looks passive but he's often varying the spin and pace of every shot which is an aggressive tactic becAUSE HE'S IN CONTROL OF THE RALLY. i think its difficult for the tv and audience to detect these changes because theyre so subtle.
This is so true. This is how he played against Fed. He makes it really difficult for his opponent. It's a little more than just waiting for your opponent to miss. However, when he just floats the ball in the middle of the court, that's when he gets himself into trouble.
