Perhaps a little bit of an over-optimistic assessment from the beeb:
Only slightly though... essentially I could see him in the finals and then I guess at that point you never know.

things like that can happen, but what pisses me on right now,is that everbody will say:"Oh hes so young and he´ll learn from it and i just read that andy said that defeat will make him stronger...
when people say that every time he looses then good night..
i really think now andy is a little overrated,he gots so much attention and did that great things, i mean look at gasquet, or rafa, they win matches and andy goes out early every time, he said he is in the shape of his life and blabla..
hope roddick will win this ausopen

I think that's a little unfair given the fact that he is top ten in the world and won his first tournament of the season. Yes, AO is a massive disappointment and a cock-up, and he should be more disappointed in himself than he seems to be, but it's not the end of the world...

What utter crap, Andy does not go out early everytime, if he did he wouldn't have won Doha and as for Rafa winning, did he or did he not get gubbed 6-0, 6-1 last week? Everyone has an off day and he's won more than he's lost this year by a long way.

I ended up watching it until the end and I really thought Andy was going to turn it around after Tsonga blew his chance to serve it out. It's the most disappointing defeat of his career for me, he was really expected to go deep with the draw he had.
As for his attitude, he's calmer on court but that's not hindering him - it's his tactics, Andy just expected to hit short balls and Tsonga to keep spraying them wide, it didn't happen.

Roddick on the pressure Andy's under...
"I feel like the British - when they're high, they're really high, and when they're low, they're really low. I don't feel like there's a lot of middle ground as far as the media is concerned."

That's great and yeah it's true but please, Murray didn't lose because of pressure from the media, he lost because he played sh*t most of the time.

He's playing a waiting game...like the top ten to retire.

Lloyd on Murray
This time his game just was not there, and he did not adjust quickly enough to what his opponent was doing - that's strange for someone like Andy.

Kudos to Tsonga for getting back in there after the bagel. I only saw 20 minutes of the match, but Andy didn't take the chances he had to and missed some good play and mental strength. Very disappointing as he should have taken the match rather easily according to his previous performances.
I hope he does better at the next grand slam.

You can't just go around saying Andy played sh*t and thats why Tsonga won. Andy played some really good rallys in the first two sets that I saw, and he must have been playing good to win the 3rd 6-0. Tsonga, incase nobody has noticed, is coming into his game and it is playing brilliantly. We all knew it would be a tough match for Andy.
