The draw for Hamburg has been made with Andy Murray set to play Russia's Dmitry Tursunov in the first round. If Murray were to get past Tursunov, ranked 31st in the world, he would have to take on either Xavier Malisse or Gilles Simon in the second round. R1 > Tursunov R2 > Xavier Malisse or Gilles Simon R3 > Nadal (expected)In other newsA caricature of Andy Murray will be featured in Headcases this Sunday on ITV1, 10pm. More here.

Looking forward to this one. Tursunov tends to blow hot and cold, though he's not too great on clay so you would expect Andy to prevail. Would be nice if he could avenge his loss to Simon from last year, but Mallise can turn up the heat on his day.
I'm not worrying about Nadal yet!

yeh but Nadal might not even get there because he may still be affected by his injurie in Rome so you never no Murray could make the last four.

Of course he will It is probably the best chance he's ever going to have of beat Nadal on clay.

Yes if he plays like we know he can but if he continues to play like he has done for the last couple of months then I don't see him having a chance.

I was sarcastically agreeing that Murray could make the last four.

Tursunov admitted in his blog that he is atrocious on clay, this should be a W for Andy!

Tursunov admitted in his blog that he is atrocious on clay, this should be a W for Andy! Now woudn't it be great if Murray had the honesty to do the same?

I have no idea if Murray is being honest or just trying not to give away weaknesses. Murray says he plays well, when we watch it, clearly he didnt. He probably thinks his serve is like Sampras as well EDIT: serve has potential to be if you listen to what ex-players and commentators say

To summarise Ball toss too straight Weight transference poor Muscle tension not maintained through service motion resulting into him looking like he's collapsing into the shot His serve percentage is so awful because they way he serves means that lots of things have to be timed very well for it to work, he leaves himself very little margin for error. It is literally impossible for him to have a consistent serve with the motion he has. As for the 2nd serve, that is a disaster too. Very little pace and just dumped into the middle of service box. He seems to think that because he can occasionally hit the odd 135mph serve that his serve is great. Awful serve + anemic FH=no chance of being consistent top 10 or winning a slam.

McEnroe has said it's a clean and textbook service motion, I certainly know who I'd listen to...

Fuzzy can sound quite convincing sometimes but if McEnroe said that then I also know who to believe.
