Andy Murray gave an extensive interview with Sky News today and lucky for us, a recording of it is now available on YouTube.

Murray appears to be confident ahead of the US Open next week as he hopes to give a repeat of last year's performance.

That was great. He looks so positive there. Let's hope he can bring some of that to the court. Hungry to play well at a big tournament. hopes to repeat last year. Well if he truly feels he can play as well as he did last year he can definately go further with the draw he has. Especially sets 4 and 5 against Gonzalez.

Brad is very confident as well...

The last couple of days we have had our best practice in a long time.

We are hoping every day will get a bit better and hopefully he will be able to work his way into the tournament.

Don't want to build up the old hopes, but I'm feeling better about his chances now Brad says he's totally pain-free. Totally agree with the one-match-at-a-time comments tho...he'll have to play himself into form, and not get too frustrated. Best news in ages.  cmon yeah

Gilbert,

He went back to find out for sure what was going on and he was reassured. The doctor said he had to let it go, and after finally hearing it enough times it's sunk in. It seemed like he was holding back a lot, and you're only going to get more frustrated doing that.

This is one of the hardest things I've had (to deal with) in my career, but I'm looking forward to getting back onto the court and getting into it.

I might take a set, maybe a couple matches, before I'm hitting it absolutely perfect again, but I'm playing much better than I was before Cincinnati and Montreal.
