Andy Murray has booked a place into the quarter-finals after defeating Stanislas Wawrinka 6-2 0-6 6-4.

I played really well at the start and I felt like I was hitting the ball great.

Early in the second set I had a chance to break him and obviously didn't.Concentration is key - Murray

He started to pick his game up and it actually got very windy and I started to miss quite a lot of balls, mis-hit a few - I think I missed the ball completely three or four times.

But I had to stay tough in the third set because he was playing much better.

I've played Stan quite a few times, we're really good friends, and when I have played him in the past he's struggled a bit to close the matches out so I knew I had to keep fighting and I found some first serves when I needed them and made a few key returns.

But it's tough to stay focused when you're making so many mistakes.

Murray will now taken on Djokovic who earlier beat Robin Soderling 6-4 6-4.

Unless Andy ups his game considerably, his run ends here.
I cannot see him beating Djokovic on present form.

I'm backing Andy for this one, surely he can't have 3 bad matches in a row?  I think he has the belief now that he can come through a tough match if he just hangs in until the end.  cmonandy

Yeh he must play better than he did in the second set that is for sure and he can not afford to slip up against a player like him.

i really hope he at least gives djokovic a run for his money tonight... if he suffers another straight sets loss like he did in rome then he really will struggle to beat him in the future...

id like to see him take it to novak and mix it up a bit

That's what he said he's do last night. Be aggressive. I hope he sticks to his word.
