Andy Murray was too strong for Canas, this afternoon, in a two tight sets. He won 7-6, 6-4 to make it to his third final of the year and his first since San Jose in February.

Andy was serving at his best today with 67% first serves in and only dropping 5 points on the first serve.

The first set went with serve and Murray won 7-2 in the 1st set tie-break. It continued to go with serve until Canas served at 3-4 when Andy took his serve but then failed to take the match when he served for it. Then Andy managed to win the next game and the match.

The key was my serve. This was a test. I now feel I'm getting close to my best level.
Murray will now play Tommy Robredo of Spain who beat Nicolas Mahut of France 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 in the final tomorrow.

Perhaps, but Andy was producing this level of performance consistently back then.

Wouldn't it just be wonderful if he could keep his first serve at 70+ for the rest of the year? pray
