Murray v Djokovic « on: July 24, 2008, 11:35:54 PM »

Andy will play Novak Djokovic in the quarter finals tomorow...OOP yet to be announced.

They've played four times - and Andy's only ever won one set nervous

Any thoughts?

On MTF, I said Djokovic.  I've changed my mind.  Letting my heart rule my head.  I think Murray will win this one.  He knows he has to be aggressive and if he is, he'll win.

Nole will likely slaughter Murray, even in my heart I'm finding it extremely hard to have hope.

I don't think he'll slaughter him at all.  He hasn't played him on hard for like a year and a half.  You can forget the clay court match.

this could be another of those meetings were Murray is scrapping to win a single game. Nothing special from Murray this week, indeed he's look pretty average all season. It's inconceivable for this to be anything other than a whitewash win for Djokovic

Similar feelings here... unless he peaks... he seems to have been extremely erratic yesterday, which is sometimes followed by a surprise 'finding of form' especially in an 'underdog' situation... that's my only tiny hope.

I'm inclined to agree with nads and Mark, however much I would love him to win. I'll have to stay up for this one - one day he'll beat him but not the way he's playing now.

Yeah, count the heads.

Yeah, I think on Andy's current form we're pretty much relying on a f**k up (or medical issue) from Nole.

So, that'll be Andy to win in three.         lmao lmao

It takes more than resilience to reach it!...heart

Having watched the match against Wawrinka, there seem to be two possible ways out, I mean Andy can either win or lose in straight sets. I think he'll be the one to lead the game but  if he makes so many mistakes as he did yesterday, Nole will be ruthless. Andy just has to keep his motivation not only today but from now on.

It's one of those rare times where I agree with one of your posts.
