Not surprised with this at all and I knew he would leave it to the last minute, good move from Murray.

So he'll now be seeded 12th for Wimbledon?

Murray probably was able to play but if Roddick beat Murray it would give the American a boost in confidence if they meet at Wimbledon. Currently Roddick will sh*t scared of Murray when they meet next.

He can pull another sprained thumb, that must be worth two places.

I wonder why he said he's give it a go then changed his mind. Better to stay silent till the last minute if you're not sure than raise hopes and then change your mind.

Doubt Roddick will be best pleased. He really needs some court time after his injury and having only completed one match this week.

Andy will still be best at Boodles next week. He gets guarenteed matches whereas at Nottingham he could lose early and get as little practice as this week.

Gutted about this though. I was looking forward to this match.

With their head to head I think he's delighted.

I don't know. I got the feeling yesterday he really wanted some court time.

Do you wonder if perhaps Murray is ok to play but the conditions of the courts have forced his withdrawl. Anyone watching the coverage? Are they as slippy today? Maybe he's decided it's not worth the risk of injury? Wonder if he'll play Queens at all next year?

Courts seem ok today.  No slips as yet.

I doubt it's because he worried about slipping again, especially as the courts are much dryer today, apparently.

I'm pretty sure I've sprained my thumb before and on the day it felt bad but the next morning it was dreadful so I completely understand his decision.

Vote Democrat.

Upon reflection, I think it's a good move. If he plays a few exhibition matches next week, then that's enough match practice to have a good Wimbers - it could have been worse after all that slipping yesterday.

I was prepared for so much worse after that fall. I saw another Hamburg! Still a little disappointed. Could have done really well here. And cause it counts for Wimbly seeding next year he could have done with the points!
