The number of balls represents how much you have posted. The more posts, the more tennis balls.

I don't believe this.... WHAT A f**kWIT! Murray can go to hell! ARGH!! He's so not injured. It just happens to be strained after the Australian Open and that immense run at Doha? YEAH RIGHT. What an arse. Not impressed at all. Letting us down big time, whether we were going to lose or not.

Bring back Tim!

He's being a bit of an ass. The team are gonna start to resent him for this. Well he'll be back for the play-offs, mark my words.

He's just ducking out this time!

See here.

Apparently he's injured, I think there's more to it than that.

Times reporting Lloyd as 'shellshocked' after hearing the news via LTA rather than Andy calling him....Andy's trainer Jez Green's training regime may have backfired somewhat.....

Andy's matches were winnable, but even then, would it have been enough to win the tie and maybe knacker his season. Time will tell, but it's a big decision.....might sway ATP to give ranking points for DC matches in future.

Caught this on Sky news this morning before setting off for work - my hubby's comment (who's no tennis officiado let me tell you) 'what tournament is he wanting to be ready for rather than play for the DC team?' Think

Considering the other big players that regularly pull out of DC, I don't think the ATP will care in the slightest that someone ranked 12th in the world pulled out.

If Andy did not contact Lloyd directly that is a disgrace, you would think that he would at least have the curtsy of giving him a call and keeping him informed on his availability.

Having said that, now that Andy pays for his own back room staff he is under no moral or financial obligation to the LTA to play Davis Cup.

I’m not bothered about the Davis Cup in the slightest and am quite happy if he concentrates on his singles career and never plays another rubber again.

He is ducking out, and I don't blame him: changing surfaces that quickly is sh*te. Why don't the ATP and DC stand together and declare that any DC tie has to be played on the surface currently 'in use' in the ATP calendar.

Andy once mentioned many top players (Federer, Nadal) did not play the spring DC ties for exactly this reason, and that he was considering this as an option in the Future to prevent injury (remember, last time he DID injure himself in the Spring DC), he seems to have chosen that option this time round.

I'm sorry for Team GB, but I also understand Andy. At the end of the day, no-one's going to remember him for getting injured at DC (especially when the team is not up for great glory), but rather for winning MS and Slams...
