Do you know how arrogant you sound?  Very good of you to have given him a lot of breaks. Grow up mate.  Your remarks are just proving the point I made earlier about renaming the site.

Being Scottish is definitely not a crime - on this site or anywhere else.  However, Andy Murray is the one who flaunts his heritage and when he behaves badly it is not unatural to feel embarrassed by his antics.
I think you are getting a little hot under the collar and need to step back and take a closer
look at some of the Murray behaviour.

The "Murray behaviour"?   Strange way to put it.  I don't think he has behaved badly by pulling out of the Davis Cup, I think its one of the most sensible decisions he has made.  How does he flaunt his heritage?  Never heard him shouting from the rooftops that he is Scottish and as for being embarrassed by his antics, never have been.

I believe he has had a lot of breaks - maybe now it is time to pay the piper !

How does he flaunt his heritage?  Well, I believe he has been seen wearing a woven saltire on his wristband as well as his cap ?

We're not Murray bashers, most of us understand and agree with his withdrawal. All we want is all the truth, not just part of it.

Here's an article that mentions the possibility that Murray may have pulled out because he simply isn't obligated to help the LTA anymore. It also has some interesting quotes from Lloyd.

In one of the quotes from Lloyd, he seems to be almost sarcastically suggesting that Murray's injury must have been very serious due to him pulling out 8 days before. This could be because Murray only pulled out of Wimbledon 24 hours before and that was one hell of an injury.

But think about it - for DC if he withdraws he's not just letting himself down, he's letting down the whole team. In the interests of organisation, team spirit, the way that the other players gel, it's only fair that he gives them advanced notice of his withdrawal. I don't doubt that his knee is playing up, and given the potential for further serious injury I'm not surprised he's withdrawn. If I was him, I wouldn't play.

I don't think the time before is significant other than the fact that he told us as early as he could, which is only a good thing imo. There is no point going to Argentina on the hope that he'll 'get better' because it's not that kind of injury.

He's not actually injured. Just taking measures to prevent aggrivation following his feeling a little niggle and having a scan. If a physio advised you not to go would you? That kinda changes the whole 'still playing football warm-ups' argument too because if he's not really injured, just being preventative, why shouldn't he still be training on hardcourts.

Daily Mail are very skeptical...

Will Andy Murray ever turn out for his country?

Injuries happen, of course, but the recurring strain in his right knee that Murray blamed for his withdrawal, and his desire to focus his energies on the ATP tour and the Grand Slam championships have forced many observers to question whether Britain's No 1 will ever represent his country in the Davis Cup again.

Two days before Murray withdrew, he was filmed for his own website playing an exuberant game of 'tennis football' with three friends. Twenty-four hours after his withdrawal, he was training diligently at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton with his latest coach, Miles Maclagan.

Why had Murray waited until the day after the team was announced to withdraw? After all, he had played just one match in the past three weeks, losing in the first round of the Australian Open to the eventual runner-up, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

But what he has done this past week is to send an unmistakable message: that his career on the ATP Tour will take precedence over his participation for Britain in the Davis Cup.

This is what Apey said:
The reality is that over the next three years or so, given the state of British tennis, it is going to be more difficult for Britain to be successful in the Davis Cup than it will be for Andy to be successful on the tour."

From the Bangkok Post...

Reports from the British side say that an eight-man former SAS security squad will protect the visitors, with some of the guards said to have actually served in the Falklands conflict.  nervous

Last year, on the 25th anniversary of the hostilities, Argentina renewed a call for the islands to be returned.

"Nobody wants political ill-feeling to encroach into a sporting occasion but we would be naive not to take proper precautions given the potential situation," said British captain John Lloyd.

"We are going in there with the best possible security arrangements to maintain the team's safety.

But in the tennis arena, Argentina is looking forward to a feast. "We thought Murray would play, but this is not coming as a big surprise for us," said Argentina captain Alberto Mancini,

"Aside from his injury, he would have had a very short preparation for the European indoor season. He would have had to risk his body in a difficult match."

Cheers Bertie!

Well if the Irish haven't got over Cromwell,Why should the Argies forget the Falklands??.Jonas Bjorkmann was sympahtising with the GB team going there,as the Swedish team had be given such a hard time.Even one of the Argentine players said the fact that three of the team were Scottish wouldn't matter the public would think of all of them as English.Don't know if te Argentinians are aware the war was against the British forces.

Maybe Argentina could be declared the winners now and both teams could have a nice social hit together, then go out for dinner like the Rugby teams do in the six nations, but no knicking a trophy along the road like the Scots and English did with the Calcutta Cup,then no need for a former SAS bodyguard.

Srikes me Mark reading the comments  the Daily Mail are not the only sceptics around here. This is a recurring theme of theirs forthe past few months so I daresay they're delighted they can confirm what they've be hinting at for months.
