But what Acasuso said has nothing to do with the poll unless you've just moved on from our topic of conversation Very Happy

The first part was about the topic, well ive nothing really more to say about it

With the poll as it currently stands, it's possible to believe options (1), (2) and (3).

Two is trying to say that he isn't injured but his condition of being fatigued is being exaggerated Think

Is that you trying to imply that "his condition" definitely doesn't refer to an injury?

I don't like DC much so I'm not so bothered about him withdrawing, this will give some of the other Brits a chance to have a go, a team is made up of more than 1 person and we shouldn't expect Andy to carry everyone else, it's not fair.  And as for John Lloyd not being told in person, one newspaper states that, and who the hell believes what's written in the papers?

From the BBC: Lloyd, who revealed he had not been called by Murray and had to find out the news through a third party, added: "I think he's very disappointed, he says he is, and we're waiting to hear from him.

I'm pretty willing to believe this.

Likewise, but disappointing that JL heard it indirectly.

Murray is a wimp and can't play on Clay for fear of grazing his knee
Murray is a liar and is letting the UK down.
Andy who? I was looking for Roddick's site.

It will be interesting to see how many tennis "stars" who are not prepared to play for their country in DC suddenly become patriotic when they want to be selected for the forthcoming Olympic Games!

I am wondering why you are all so surprised by Murray's withdrawal from DC - I started off being very interested in Murray, but quickly lost it when I viewed his hysterical antics towards BG, his unprofessional behaviour in general, his whining, his misc 'injuries', his excuses for poor play - the list is endless.  Roll on Nadal !!  I hate it that Murray is a Scot (as I am) - wish he belonged to some other country !!

An ex-fan... interesting Think

Think You mean you want a serious list?

He's genuinely concerned about increased injury pressure
He's just using the injury concern as an excuse to rest himself
There's some reason other than injury or rest that he doesn't want to play
There's some other conspiracy going on here, which is beyond our understanding

Well, he only says he started off "interested in Murray" rather than "supporting Murray".

In much the same way that Andy himself seems to have gone from "playing tennis" to "interested in tennis".

Roll on Nadal?  You obviously haven't heard that Nadal also pulled out of DC because of injury, didn't see much of his injury at AO either, don't tell me he fakes it too  Sticking tongue out.

Interesting to know at what point ATP consider awarding ranking points for DC (as JL wants). How many more top players have to 'pull out' before crowds shrink, TV start pulling the plug and DC becomes total pash. Who wants to watch a couple of nobodies get humped for their country in a meaningless encounter. Award points and watch Muzz, Fed, Rafa and the rest rush back.....
