MurraysWorld Awards 2008 Nominations
« on: May 03, 2008, 06:12:36 PM »
Two votes for each catergory, excluding lifetime achievement where only one vote is needed.
The catergories are;
Lifetime achievement:
Nominate an old-timer, a constant hardworker. Your own interpretion of lifetime achievement.
Best Thread:
exactly what it says, could be your favourite, or a one which you just enjoy.
Most Controversial Thread;
again totally up to you.
Best Avatar:
Pretty self-explanatory.
The Fuzzy award for negativity:
Who do you feel is continually negative, (Fuzzy can also be voted for despite the award being in his name).
Biggest Optimist:
Who constantly sees the good in every situation.
Most Pointless Thread:
which thread made you think, "What... the... "
The Award for Best Fight:
Again, exactly what it says on the tin.
Biggest and best contribution to content updates, match updates and RTR:
...
Funniest poster:
figure it out.
Prom King and Prom Queen:
vote for your favourite MurraysWorld member, male and female.
Best newcomer to MurraysWorld:
exactly what it says again.
Photography Award:
award for the person with excellent photography skills, whether it's tennis related or 'random' photos.
RULES:
As this is the first year of awards, some categories can apply to the entire history of MurraysWorld. Next time it will be restricted to the last year.
Post your vote in this thread.
You can't vote for yourself, this is a little bit sad anyway!
As explained above, two votes per catergory, and only one vote for lifetime achievement.
DEADLINE FOR THIS IS THE 15th of this Month, voting will close at exactly 23:59 on this day.

The fuzzy award is pretty crap if we can vote fuzzy but the rest are great
In the future I think to would be a good idea to make the addition of a 'Peace maker' award, a member that tries to resolve situations or maybe someone you would consider to never get involved in arguments.

Well I didn't say you had to vote Fuzzy! I'm no hitler.
Just preparing for those awkward bast**ds who may ask the question...

Voting is open for 2 weeks, (or as long as we see fit), then yep, 2 with the most votes are voted for and winners revealed.

What about a photography one?
Also I thought of a few more random ones in the other thread, no good?

When you say voting, you mean all of us should now reply in this thread with who we want to win each category? Just want to make sure I have a full understanding.

The "just for fun" ones were really bad btw so I'm glad those were not included

I'd already posted this before I saw your post in other thread sorry, I'll add the photography one, but I think it might be a bit much to have all of them. If popular demand proves otherwise I'll add them..

Yep. Just like RTR. Public voting... no secret ballots I'm afraid.

And I'm guessing people aren't allowed to vote for themselves?

I disagree. I think several posters are capable of humour. And what sort of humour as well. Bev posts jokes and she's not the only one. Gogsy, Al,
myself
, Lorna, Mark, Laura, Cate ..... all show a reasonable level of witty retort to others posts....... Pretty tough one.
