After a pretty full-on season for our man Murray, news reaches us of the latest social networking by the talented teenager and his sweetheart Kim Sears.

After much deliberation between MurraysWorld members it now appears that Andy's Bebo site is the real deal and is a much less formal way of chewing the fat with the top-twenty ranked tennis sensation.

The site, an acronym of 'blog early, blog often', was set up a year ago by Michael Birch (35) and his wife Xochi in Jan 2005 after moving to London from California. In the last year 25 million people have joined, most still at school, and is currently the 6th most popular site in the UK, bigger than the bbc.co.uk website.
The page of Kim makes me think it's real. After all, these are normal people, why should they not have a page on the Internet?- Tennis-Player (mw member)

Bebo members and self-respecting tennis pros can keep in touch with all their friends, friends of friends, nutters, stalkers, and fans, via their own personal site-space with blogs, pics, vids and stuff. Andy's site also has links to other tennis pals' Bebos. Kim's Bebo has lots of photos of her and her pals out on the tear...

Kim the "gym bunny" Sears, whose weight apparently "broke the scales", writes in her blog that she has been in love, would like to get married and have children.

She also reveals her biggest fears in life,
Tractors, Clowns, Death. Oh, and that I'll leave the house one day without putting any clothes on...

Are the Bebos real? Discuss here.

I would assume it means she didn't like us snooping around search me

It had private photos on which may have embarrassed her.

What I always wonder is why anyone would post private photographs if it is going to be a problem at some point down the road ??

Narcissism is certainly a major factor behind most blogs and probably also a lot to do with social networking sites Think

What do you mean? We are neither a blog or a social networking site so it doesn't really apply.

No, I know you are not a blog, but I had kind of assumed that to some extent at least this was a social networking site.  But, most probably I do not understand the terminology as I have never had time to indulge in 'chatting online' before.

Narcissism applies to social networking sites because it tends to involve people showing off their lives on their personal mini-website on a daily basis. We don't really have a personal section that allows us to update the events of our lives so this is pretty far from a social networking site. Although admittedly often people will subtly take the opportunity to boast about their achievements or current situation in life but only to a degree of what you would get from talking to someone in the street.
