Well yeah, I'm sure you wouldn't melt in the rain but thats not what I meant. I'm talking about rain
delay
meaning you cannot watch any matches because theres no play. And when your at a great tennis tournament and theres no play and you've travelled a long way .... I'd be gutted.

If we'd travelled for that one day then yeah totally. But just look at all the names in highlights that we saw, and take into the fact that we weren't even meant to be there that day, whatever/whoever we saw at all was a total bonus. So again, not gutted, and I have to ask why your pushing it?

Because your so irritating and keep bragging about who you saw and what you did etc. And how you want everyone to be jealous of you which isn't really a nice thing to want to be honest. I'm sure you had a great time and you did get lucky, and we all know it.

Excuse me? Where am I bragging about who I saw. I just said in one post, what I did while at Wimbledon, which is what others have done before me. I don't want everyone to be jealous, I don't believe I said that, and I beleive I may also have said, that I wished everyone else was here too. And I also admitted how lucky we were, several times. It's a good story, worth telling I think, and something people might wanna read about. If they feel jealous, that's up to them. I didn't make them.
I think it;s you who's being irritating.

True it is a good story and I'm happy for you. Its just me because I've heard this story a few times as you was telling me as it happened. And at one point you accused me of not being a proper tennis fan because I wasn't acting jealous of your day three tickets.

just got back from wimbledon.. i had an AMAZING 2 days , i had centre court tickets on monday and tuesday
monday , i got to see - Federer, Henman V Moya which was such an epic, was an amazing atmopshere, we were one row from the back but still had a great time ! I also went to watch a bit of Gonzarlez V Genepri and JMDP and Tisperivic !
monday night i camped over on the nice streets of wimbledon ! was very eventfull and were souronded by the irish which was such a laugh ! i dont re-call have any sleep at all, but was worth it ! then we had a dilema on whether to choose centre court or court number 1 tickets as i really wanted to see Blake but also how could i miss an opertunity to miss the rest of Henmans epic, Rafa and Novak so we had to go for centre court tickets !
it was such an amazing day , we got out tickets and found out they were only 3 rows from the front, just slightly left behing the players chairs, so i got some awsome pictures of Henman and Moya.. and rafa , i was such a sureal experience being so close ! i will post some pictures later on !
I loved all the matches i watched and managed to catch Safin, Tursunov, Ljubicic and Tsonga practising aswell as a bit of the Mahut V Clement match !
but i have to say , even though the Henman match was the best atmosphere and so tense , when rafa came on i was just overwhelmed by how hard he hits that ball and how technically sound his whole game is ! but Novak Djokovic was the best ! he was sooo funny and such an amazing player with an all round impressive game !
it will definetly become a tradtition for me to camp out now, especially knowing i can be 3 rows from the front hehe
What immense seats to have! ANd such a great line up for centre! Immense! You sound like you had just as good a time as me and Euan! Can't wait to see the pictures. It's crazy how hard the spaniards in particualr and Fed hit the ball. Seems so much more powerful than any of the other top players, although I didn't see Roddick live, so who knows. Court side changes your perspective. We got front row via rain delay. Ground passes and queueing in the re-sale queue is the way to go for lazy people like me
I think the tickets they sell each day, are for the front sections, which makes them the best ones to get too. Nice one! Hope all other guys going have as good a time.

I didn't accuse you of not being a proper tennis fan for not acting jealous. But for acting like what I had seen meant nothing at all.
To put it into perspective, you were being very negative. I txt cate to tell her about my tickets and she responds with "you lucky bast**d, I do hope it;s the sunniest day ever for you" (hope she doesn't mind me quoting). Where as your atitude was more likely to provoke a response "you lucky piece of sh*t, I hope it rains". Because that's the sort of person you seem to be.
And as for hearing the story a few times, so what, don't read it then, it;s obvious what it's about when it;s a post by me and it says "Wimbly 2007" in bold at the top. If it;s going to annoy you that much, then mark it as read. jeez.

Erm .... if my memory corrects me, when you got tickets on your first day to go see Henman did I or did I not say "you lucky bast**d/bugger"? So its ok for Cate to say that in a nice way but me not? And I would never or want it to ever rain on you or anyone because I am not that kind of person. I joked with you earlier in the day saying you should have taken a brolley so it wouldn't rain because it would jinx it ..... yes I see how thats similiar to "I hope it rains".
