Sounds as if Andy had a great match.
It's so encouraging. I'm getting excited for 2008 now.

If you have Virgin there is a BBC1 channel on channel 800 and something. I think it shows what is being shown in England.
Same on Sky.

Andy is also playing in Rotterdam 18-24 Feb 2008, so he will not defend San Jose
http://www.abnamrowtt.nl/nieuwsdetail.aspx?SN=1578
"Andy Murray will also participate for the first time. The 20-year Brit ranked 8th in the world last spring, but has since dropped back 10 places as a result of a wrist injury. Murray won the San José (US) tournament earlier this year and managed to reach the final in Doha. Last Sunday, he lost to Tommy Robredo in the final of the Metz tournament."
I will definitely be going to that
it's only two hours away. £40 for the full day it is not that expensive.

Isn't he dropping SJ and playing Europe instead because it fits better with DC? I vaguely remember him saying sth like that?

Yes he said that before the draw was made, but both these come after the Davis Cup.
If he is over in Argentina for the DC why come back to Europe just to return to North America for Indian Wells and Miami for the Masters Series?
It seems like a lot of additional travel to me anyway.

Andy backs Auckland for Davis Cup
.
"James is by far the second best doubles player in terms of results and rankings," said Murray. "He has played some good players before and I think he definitely deserves to be in the team."
