you mean "Ratio decidendi" ?? Well that's all fair and well, but you can't have a law binding part of the judgement and a non-law binding part of the judgement.

Admitedlly in this case the recommended minimum before parole elligibility is 7 years and yes it probably says however, unlikely to be accepted. But the point i was making was not that he would get out, but that he should be considered at all. Minimum term should be 25 years at least.

I can't get my breath!  If a child is brought up in a safe and loving environment, what does it matter what sexual orientation people are!?

Because the orientation of a child's parents is bound to have an effect on it. While two males or two females may well be fantastic parents, that child is still going to grow up with the idea that being heterosexual is wrong and homosexual is right. Ok it's not that clear cut abouit right and wrong. But what i mean is, it's the human races design to be heterosexual. Gay parents have to be very very very responsible in making sure they don't try and make a child become homosexual just to be like them. Sure some couples will do this, but you know how many irresponsible mum's and dad's there are out there already. There are bound to be gay couples who will try and force their sexual preference upon their child.

I was under the impression that religious beliefs were taken into account in this country. For example, people being allowed to pray at work 5 times a day towards mecca etc. Or wear a turban or a cross. I certainly think his request to avoid cases confliting with his beliefs is entirely justified. I also agree with damaging a child's welfare by them being adopted by a gay couple.

I disagree entirely with gay adoption, People are entitled to live as they please, but a child knows only what it sees, and that should be a Mum and a Dad. Not 2 dad's or 2 mums!

That might hold in a few cases. But bear in mind, the number if bad parents out their. The proportions will be the same.


Also what children get bulleid for having gay parents? There are hardly any! Hence why gay adoption has just come in.

And to be gay is fine. Your choice. But rasing a chld in that environment, i disagree with.
