Cool, just always thought you were in the cesspit of Dundee.
Edinburgh is gorgeous, prefer Glasgow myself as my roots are there, but Edinburgh is definitely a perfect city for a student, not perfect for the wallet mind you.

Ah, but that depends if you know where is cheap for each night of the week
Including Friday and Saturday nights
Drinks for a quid anyone?
And Dundee, although sh*t as a city, does have one of the best Student Union's in the country, comparable only to Strathclyde's really.....

I ended up in Aberdeen, which is kinda average as a city. But (in my day) the student union was possibly the best in Scotland. 20p a pint, anyone? And on promotions nights, 10p a nip/15p a double wasn't unheard of.
These days I've gravitated to Edinburgh. Brilliant place. And you appreciate it much more once you've been away for a few years ...

Don't think I'll apply to Durham, are you? It's tough competition and I've got enough Unis like that plus access to Glasgow is pretty bad
There's a train to Glasgow. The one I get to Edinburgh goes through to Glasgow - I think. Hmmm.
Wasn't overly impressed with Sheffield today...

There are trains that carry on to Glasgow, but unless i'm badly mistaken, they don't stop at durham - because only express trains from kings cross carry on to glasgow, and i'm almost sure they don't stop at durham. The easiest way would be to take a train from durham to Newcastle - literally a 15 minute journey, and at Newcastle its easy to get a train to glasgow, i think.

Just had a quick look at that, and CNET gave it a great review. Do you look at CNET - I check with it before I buy anything electronic.
