How have you made any more of an idiot of yourself by us seeing it over that of your friends? We all understand it was in the spirit of being drunk at a party.
Because, I have no control here over what is said, or who see's it. If I choose to post photos on here, it's because I want to share them with the membership. If I post them on fb, it's because I want to share them with my friends on there. If I wanted everyone here to see me semi-naked, then I would have posted it here.
The fact you posted it up, despite my request for you not to PRIOR to posting it up, and did not remove it despite repeated requests shows that 1) you are no friend of mine, not in fact ever will be and 2) what a completely arseh**e you are capable of being and finally 3) how you neglect your responsibilities as a Mod of this site, particularly in relation to

Unfortunately for you, this did not technically break any rules.
Although you intended on having it so only people on your Facebook could see it, the fact you uploaded it to Facebook means once someone gave that URL to someone from the public, the image is then public domain because any member of the public can access that photo whether they are friends with you or not.
I assume you did not take the photo and by your lack of response to my earlier question, I also assume the camera is not yours. Therefore you cannot claim a breach of copyright. Celebrities do not own photos of them, the photographers who took the photos do.
Even if you did take the photo, it's possible that by uploading it to Facebook you are transferring copyright over to them. This is in the T&C of many user generated websites.
I took the photo down because even though it was done as a joke, once it was clear how upset you were, I deemed it best for it to be removed as, erm, Bauerpower is a good friend of mine so I knew he woudn't mind me editing his post.

No, any member of the public can not access it. Only my friends can access it as deemed by me.
Secondly, you do not own the copyright, whether I own it or not is irrelevant.
And thirdly, everyone knows bauerpower is your alternate account.

No, any member of the public can not access it. .
Yes they can, the image is free for all to view if they enter the URL directly. Facebook does not have any technology implemented that prevents and until they do, it is public domain.

That's correct but it is relevant because unless you own copyright to it, you can't legally request me to take it down.

Show me your written consent then. boll**ks, I say to you.
And how can they get the direct URL? Surely they have to get to it first to be able to know the URL.

Even if it was on Neil's facebook, I still think it's a bit poor posting it on a public messageboard, Mark.
There's a difference between the two.

It's not even as as if he posted it in the member's only section. If it was debatable as to whether it was in public domain before, it certainly isn't after posting in this board.

Yes and I'm sure you've always asked Getty and the likes before posting up photos of Andy Murray. It's there as a disclaimer but 99.9% of the time no one abides by it because a forum woudn't really work like that. It's only sensible to remove posts when they are reported as a breach of copyright.

Once that URL is given to me or anyone else by one of your "friends" then it automatically becomes public domain because then someone from the general public has access to the photo and can allow others to do the same.

He was the one who came on here advertising the fact that it was on his Facebook, not really the talk you would expect from someone who would get really upset over people here seeing it. I removed the photo in minutes after it became clear he was very offended.

Firstly, I never advertised that the photo in question was on facebook, just that I had put some photos up as per the topic title, what did you do today.
Secondly, I've never put up any andy muray images, certainly not from Getty.
Thirdly, If someone gives you something, you should use your judgement in whether to post it up or not. You do not work for the Sun, try and be a bit more sensible.
And finally, minutes? HA! if you actually did your job, you wouldn't have posted it in the first place. Not quick enough to allow several people to see it who should not have been able to see it ever.
