Doesn't help you to work out accurately the 300,000th post, because for that you'd need to know how many have been deleted since we passed the milestone, which was a few days ago. My guess would be that not more then one or two were deleted, so it'll be fairly accurate if you subtract from the post id total the amount the forum shows above the milestone, and the post with that id will be the post you want, or not more then a couple out...

No, John just said the total of deleted posts, but we don't want that,s because most of them were deleted before we reached the milestone. In fact, the total deleted posts is irrelevant.
The best way would be for Mark to check how long ago the post with the id around 625 less then the latest was made, check the recycle bin for how many posts have been deleted since that time, add that amount to 625, subtract the total from the current post id number, and that should be the 300,000th post!

By the way, replace the number 625 in the previous post with whatever number above 300,000 the post count is if/when you do the checking.

Can you find post 304520 (thats last post minus latest forum counter) and check the date.
Then find deleted posts from that date to now.
Then add the amount of deleted posts to 641 (the different between last post and forum counter).
Then minus that number from the last post (305161) and that should be it, follow?
(Is that right?)

I wonder if the posts stats on the forum index are generally accurate though. I ask because in the forum control panel it has a feature where I can make the forum recount all the stats/posts which I just did now. But me being a complete idiot, I didn't do a before/after check.
Recount all forum totals and statistics.

Thats it Amy, just remember, it won't be 641 by the time Mark does it. Secondly, it might not be 100% accurate, if there were posts made which were deleted just before we got to the milestone...
