If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Bwahahahahahaaaaa! No we don't play tennis much anymore... Seriously, none of my friends are good at tennis! The one who's best, well, I thrashed him 6-0 6-4 the other day, and only lost games because I played left handed a bit.

Why do the English pronounce Greenock incorrectly

They say it like Gren-ock (like in Greenwich)  rather than the correct pronunciation like green the colour.  doh

I think I pronouse it correctly after watching Sweet Sixteen.  Brilliant film.  Martin Compston is cuuuuuuuuute!

He played for the Greenock Morton for a season and was a good footballer.

But he must be gay if he give up playing for the 'ton for that acting nonsense.

I would have given my left nut to be good enough to pull on the hoops.

I was trying out my German today at work and was told I sound just like a German fainting

The way the Scots pronounce the words with their accents makes it almost identical to native German speakers apparently, but the English accent / pronounciation is retained to a certain extent making it obvious that they are an Inselaffe.

I just had about 15 fighter jets in tight formation repeadedly flying very low above our street, sounded like a 747 coming in to crash every time. Looked impressive but when I got my camera they had gone Frown

Just come over here too, and there were loads before them as well, must have been about 50 planes in a space of 5 minutes.

Yeah, about 2 minutes ago.  They showed it on Queens, then I went outside and loads came, eventually the formation.

So is it meant for the Queens tournament then?

EDIT: Just realised it's the Queen's birthday celebrations today!

No, the BBC just showed them because it's pretty impressive.  Don't know why they're there.

EDIT - I see, how old is she?

Must be for the Queen's birthday celebrations.

...watched the annual flypast. Involving 55 aircraft of 14 different types, this year's was longer than usual to mark the 90th anniversary of the RAF.

The planes taking part ranged from a 68-year-old Spitfire to the RAF's very latest aircraft, the Typhoon.

But there has been some criticism of the decision to include a Nimrod aircraft in the flypast, after a coroner ruled three weeks that the fleet was un-airworthy.
