Just took a a Bebo 'Which international footballer are you?' quiz.
I answered that my favourite position was "between the sticks" and my favourite thing to do on the pitch was "make a great save," (expected answers for a keeper). But apparently I'm Steven Gerrard.

Definitions of spring washer on the Web:
* A flat spring designed to provide a compression force to eliminate rattle and take-up tolerance. Also called a wave washer.

My dream? For one of my bosses in America to ask me to transfer over there. Not only that but to Cincinnati so Cate would also be able to transfer in her job.

Ok, so last night my sister was having her 17th Birthday Party and decided that she would have a kids Party theme. So we got party bags and a cake from the bakers. She had marshmallow top hats and crispy cakes. Party rings and pink wafers and skips and wotsits. We also had sandwiches and sausage rolls. She had party hats and plates and cups all matching and a plastic table cloth. She played Pass the parcel and other such games and they had a ball. But this was not the point of my story.
In the afternoon I was having coffee with two of my good friends and I had to leave early to go and help my folks get organised for the party. I said I might make it back but I might have to stay, although I wasn't keen. Anyway, when I went back round to my mates house they seemed disappointed and it turned out this was because they had planned to come and kidnap me.
Before too long this notion became a full on plot to kidnap my other sister, who had ended up stuck playing Mummy for Alison's party. She'd been pretty disappointed she had to stay and when I mentioned it my firneds decided this was a great idea. All of a sudden, after much hilarity we were standing on my back doorstep wearing starship bodywarmers, carrying authentic look BB guns and a pillowcase. We burst into the kitchen and, I swear, the reaction of the 14 16 year olds in my house was priceless. They absolutely lost it! Anyway, we threw the pillowcase on Claire's head and grabbed her and ran out the back door. She didn't even have shoes on!
When we got her back to the house we made a ransom note with newspaper asking for £2m and chocolate, which we delivered. I then got a phone call from my Dad to say the ransom was on the doorstep and could Claire come home please cause they needed her.
So we took her back with her hands tied and another note round her neck saying 'talked too much' and the pillowcase back on her head and left her on the doorstep. We also got a bar of chocolate and a cheque from Mum and Dad made out to 'The Kidnappers' for £2m. It was absolutely the funniest evening I've had for a long time!

It can't be normal to wake up on a Saturday morning and think extensively about derivatives of logarithmic functions before even getting up can it?
Does it happen to you Neil?

It was part of a nasty contrained optimisation problem I was working on last night and got stuck, but then woke up thinking about it this morning and worked it out.
