The way the seeds 5-8 are, he has a really good chance to go on a good run at RG especially if he is seeded in 9-12 bracket.
Ferrer, Roddick, Nalbandian and Blake he would meet in the 4th round. It could be worse.

Its actually extremely good - a 50% chance to get either Blake or Roddick. Brilliant!
Here are the players we want to lose ASAP: Monaco, Moya, Karlovic, Verdasco
However, only Monaco can possibly get ahead of Andy without reaching the final, the rest have to reach the final or better.

At the moment he is provisionally 11th, but depending on results this week, he could end up as high as 9th or as low as 11th in the rankings due to be published on Monday.

Gasquet, in his interview after his match today, said he might miss the French Open. Besides for this making it easier for Andy to overtake him, it would improve his seeding. However, there is no difference in being seeded 9th or 12th, so it will only help him if he finishes the week ranked 13th.

I have him at provisionally 12th, but my spreadsheet must be wrong. Either way, with only Monaco having a realistic chance to equalise and unless he gets pas Davy, no-one likely to overtake (Moya would need to beat Nadal and Djoko - unlikely), this is good news.

Today we're hoping for Monaco to lose. His match today will most probably decide whether Andy is ranked 11th or 12th. Of course, this is assuming Andy loses today...

Nope, not definitely, but extremely likely. Verdasco (W) and Moya (F) can still overtake.

After todays loss, Andy wil be ranked 11th, unless either Moya reaches the final or Verdasco wins the tournament. So worst possible is 13th, if both of those happen.

11th is pretty good. Gives him a very realistic chance of top 8 by wimbledon? What would 150 points bring him? Obviously a huge guestimate cause of other movement and so much points on the table.

Remember, seeds in Wimbledon are not always given out in order of rankings. Andy may therefore be slightly higher or lower seeded then his ranking.

I do remember. But they don't tend to shuffle the top ten a great deal if I remember rightly.

And he has a good record at Wimbledon. Beaten much higher ranked players both times. Although will the fact he doesn't have a record from last year hurt him?
