Andy will be 14th next week unless Sexy Stepanek manages to beat Djokovic and either Roddick/Wawrinka in the final and wins the tournament.

Murray makes him look like a flash in the pan.            flush      The two occassions they met, he hammered him.

Stepaner and Roddick withdraw with injuries. It doesn't matter about Wawrinka as he already went past Andy yesterday. But since Stepanek is out Andy will be ranked 14th on Monday.

A couple of updates on the possibilities i posted earlier:

If Andy loses in R2, the worst possible is 20th (it changed because of updates to the draw).

If Andy loses in the final, the worst possible is 11th (I made a mistake in my calculations earlier).

QF would be sufficient.

UPDATED PREDICTIONS:

If Andy loses in R2:
Highest possible: 12
Lowest possible: 18
Probable: 14

If Andy loses in R3:
Highest possible: 11
Lowest possible: 18
Probable: 12

If Andy loses in QF:
Highest possible: 11
Lowest possible: 16
Probable: 12

If Andy loses in SF:
Highest possible: 9
Lowest possible: 13
Probable: 10

If Andy loses in F:
Highest possible: 9
Lowest possible: 10
Probable: 9

If Andy wins the tourney:
Highest possible: 9
Lowest possible: 10
Probable: 9

Basically, i think one more win is very important. It will probably make the difference of being a top 12 seed at the French or not, with obvious ramifications.

I just noticed that Almagro has withdrawn. That changes the possibilities slightly: Andy cannot now fall lower then 17th if he loses in R2 or R3.

One more win is definately possible. He took Simon to 3 sets when they last played on clay and he's so much better than that. Just needs to have the same attitude as he did today.
