Really you think? He managed to whack the ball into the roof a few times, he missed some really easy shots, mostly doing his drop volley thing. You say it is harsh, but I think it is better if he loses when he is not on form.

If anyone agrees with Sir Panda, I'll have to revise the headline.

I just think the media is too expectant of him. If he did injure his back, then he showed remarkable spirit and determination. Yes, he did make unforced errors, but I have definetly seen him play worse than that

Heh, I'm turning into the evil press.

This headline a little more realistic?

bbc are such plebs - calling jamie andys younger brother.....

"The opening match saw England's David Sherwood triumph over Jamie Murray following a tie-break.

Sherwood took the first set 6-4 after overpowering the young Scot - Andy's younger brother - who was 5-1 down at one stage. "

do they know anything about anything?
bet you that'll be another of their quick tippex jobs.....

I'd be more than happy to. It would give me some practise. The bad news is, there is nothing to comment on till January (match-wise)

I love Andy to bits, but he looked like 'Kevin' the sulky teenager in his match against Rusedski.  I truely believe he needs to be playing match after match to shine..... too much time off.... Whistle

He has had a few weeks, but he deserves a break. His body is more fragile than the seasoned 'veterans' on tour such as Hewitt or Nalbandian

Yes, that's actually a very good point, plus Rusedski has been playing in matches right up until now.  And.... I have to say... some of the shots Andy played were just different class!

Yeh....I guess as theres no ATP points up for grabs, he wont take defeat too badly. He still worked hard and he was smiling at the great atmosphere. I would love for a Challenger or ATP event to take place in Scotland. Andy would have a great chance
