Well, if you posted that you wanted standard predictions in the "This Week" thread like you say, then the mods can see it there and account for it so you won't need friends to post it.  Although this is probably more work for the mods but if they don't mind doing it I don't see the problem.

That wasn't my point. Are you saying it should be allowed to be posted by friends or just for standard predictions. I think you should allow standard rpredictions for holidays but only a limited number, but I don't think you should allow friends to post for you.

No, there isn't going to be a thread where the organisers have to do the predictions for the member - like you say, that's just more work for them. You need to ask a personal friend to do it.

Or the cost of not being able to post yourself should be that ONLY standard predictions are accepted meaning it doesn't matter whether a friend or a mod posts. Think

Well I think if someone posts in the This week thread that they are on holiday and would like standard predictions done, someone will post them,.... I mean, I;ve done it before when people have been away and not asked me personally.... I was just first to post them

Yeah, Exactly. Just as long as someone posts them, which I'm sure someone will.

I didn't mean that.  I meant if someone posted something like "Look, I'm going on holiday for a week so I would like standard predictions" in whatever thread.  So either the mods take thing into account or somebody could offer to post it.

Or just basically, if you aren't here to post your own predictions tough sh*t.  Theres more to life than playing RTR :P

Yeah, I'm starting to think tough sh*t for absentees Very Happy

If I had have asked for standard predictions fr the last 6/7 weeks of last year, I probably would have won the thing.....that just wouldn't have been fair! no

That's why I'm saying set a limit of the number of tournaments you can miss.

I don't like the fact that regulars generally will have an advantage over newbies but I also hate the idea of mods having to deal with more work/responsibility of putting in standard predictions for someone who goes on holiday Think

So tough sh*t for me as well Very Happy

Yes you would have won and yes it wouldn't really be fair because the fact is, you wouldn't make those standard predictions if you were actually there.

Why do the MODS have to do it? Just someone has to post standard predictions for each person who's away. How many people are actually going to be on holiday in one tournament that play anyway? It's hardly any work. Hell I'll do all the standard predictions if you want. Including keeping track of who has had however many.

I reckon 3 weeks (not 3 tournaments, as I'm thinking of the GS's) should be allowed to be missed, but u have to give notice of going away.

Nah it keeps it more interesting if everyone plays for themselves.
There are probably going to be weeks in everyone's RTR year that they can't play...
Also, it seems to be the same kind of people always at the top and it gives other people a chance to catch up!

Why do the MODS have to do it?
I've never organised RTR but to me it seems like they have to do a lot and this would be one more thing. And I just don't think it's fair to put in predictions for a member when if they were making posting it themselves, they wouldn't actually be those predictions.

I've changed my vote. Very Happy
