Wow!  Wasn't expecting that to happen.  Does this mean her tennis career is down the pan now? Think

Tennis is not corrupt, according to Venus Williams.

Is Venus the Williams sister who always calls herself sexy or is it Serena?

To start with, a serious article:

Nikolay Davydenko claims he is being victimised by the ATP because they want him out of the world's top 10.

The Russian's defeat by Argentine Martin Vassallo Arguello at the Sopot Open last August is being investigated by the governing body of men's tennis.

He told BBC Sport: "Maybe they just found one tennis player who they want to remove from the world's top 10?

"Maybe there is someone below me in the rankings who is more popular and they want to increase his popularity?"

He added: "Maybe I am just not that popular being number four in the world? Someone is trying to increase someone else's popularity."

That was fun lol

For people who haven't clicked,

HE STOPS CALLING. You panic. But you try to stay calm. He did this before when you first started talking, but u tried to forget it. You knew u should have not forgotten. But u tried to ignore it. He disappears for a week with no phone call. No answer to yours no nothing. Finally you hear from him. You want to rage you want to scream you want to cry. But you can't help you heart from feeling a tad bit happy."
Her boyfriend must have woken up one day and realised he was dating a man.

Wasn't sure where to post this but this seemed like a good enough place, whilst I was in Canada I visited the Uniprix Stadium.  The home of the Montreal Tennis Masters Series and I bought the 2007 official programme plus this thing I put around my neck (not sure what the proper word is, I think its something you put a tag on the end of it or something, anyway ...) and it was cool and I can't wait to go back when the tourney is on yay  At least I know how to get there too and its so easy.

Spectators expelled for betting

Three men have been ejected from the Diamond Games in Antwerp for illegally betting on tennis matches.
Officials said the trio were using wireless laptops to access gambling websites, betting on points before they had registered on the internet.

"We spoke with the WTA. They had the chance to give up their computers or to leave - they left," said an official.

The expulsions are the first cases in tennis's new anti-corruption policies to clamp down on illegal betting.

lol Well done WTA though.  clap

There's someone in my head but it's not me

Re: News Articles (General Tennis) « Reply #18 on: February 14, 2008, 09:45:49 AM »

I was sat by a bloke during the Federer/Tipsarevic match and as soon as the toss was made he left and somehow made a bet on the score in the 1st set.

He lost as it went to a tie-break but he bet for a 6-3/6-4 depending on who won the toss.
