lmao I know, that's why I put vital. The Daily Mail did this last year with Andy Roddick and Maria Sharapova around this very time, when those rumours had been going around for months.

Just seen that Taylor Dent has been given a wildcard for Rhode Island this week, I didn't think he would be on the tour again, he had some big ass ground strokes, he didn't play much of 2006 and then had back surgery in 2007, nice to see he did make it back though, I'll be keeping an eye on how he does.

This isn't really tennis news but I didn't know where to stick it, does anyone know why some of the players are ineligible to play at the Olympics, ie Fernando Verdasco and Marion Bartoli?

There is a limit as to how many players can play from any one country - a max of 4 singles players for men's and the same for women's.

Marion Bartoli is the highest ranked French women, I would have thought she would have been first choice to go, it's the word 'ineligible' that makes me wonder if there is some other reason for it.
